WHO'S THE BEST IN THE NORTH WEST?
Unique Concept For www.County4Life.com
Despite the poor league form, Stockport County had some superb form against their local rivals, and finished in second place in the inaugural County 4 Life North West League behind runaway winners Carlisle United, mainly thanks to wins at Chester, Bury and Rochdale and home wins over Macc, Wrexham and Rochdale.
The concept had arrived. The North West League was deemed a success, and NWL2 was equally as popular, with Accrington Stanley replacing the League One bound Carlisle and regardless of County finishing higher than any other North West team in League Two, County again were the bridesmaids, finishing second again, this time to Rochdale.
It was, however, third time lucky as County made up for previous agonies by walking to the NWL3 title by nine points.
As County climb out of League Two, a new challenge arises. NWL1 Champions Carlisle United are reunited to the NWL, along with Crewe, Oldham and Tranmere in a five-team NWL4...which starts on 6th September when Tranmere Rovers play host to Oldham Athletic...!

DICKO SHARES BOOT
Stockport Striker To Share Gong With Wrexham Hitman
For the first time, the County4Life North West League Golden Boot is to be shared as both Liam Dickinson and Michael Proctor grabbed eight goals.
After his double versus Rochdale, Dicko took the lead in the award, but his lead lasted only a few days as Wrexham's Michael Proctor hit the winner against Bury and pegged Dicko back.
Bury's in form Andy Bishop finished his season with a flourish with a brace against Accrington to give him third place on seven goals, with his Gigg Lane team mate Nicky Adams on five. Sandwiched between them is Adam LeFondre who netted six in his first season at Rochdale after netting five last season.

Final Standings - CONGRATULATIONS ROCHDALE - who after their 5-0 drubbing of Macclesfield Town, all that would have stopped Dale from becoming the 2nd County4Life North West League Two Mini-League Champions would have been a Stockport County win at home to Bury. The Shakers held County to a 0-0 draw and therefore the title goes to Spotland. Chester City finish the season in fifth, whilst Accrington Stanley made their season look a little more respectable after final day 3-2 win over Macc. Wrexham's miserable season ended with just one win all season (which ironically was their first game vs Chester), finished seven points adrift at the bottom and thus are awarded with the Wooden Spoon.

TOP SCORERS
Murray's A Mint!
Congratulations to Rochdale's Glenn Murray, who picks up the County4Life North West Mini League Golden Boot after notching an amazing nine goals for Dale and County this season. Murray notched one for County in a loan spell from Carlisle United earlier in the season, but his eight goal haul for Dale made him the top dog. Murray's Spotland team mate Chris Dagnall was a close second with seven goals, and truly round off a memorable season in the Mini League for the Spotland club. Adam LeFondre was County's highest placed goalscorer, with he and Bury pair Andy Bishop and Glynn Hurst all tied on five goals each.
